Today was a great day at school! We finally got to meet our new class pet. His name is Edger and he is a hedgehog! He wasn’t very firendly today because he was still getting used to the temperature and new smells in the classroom but hopefully, by tomorrow, he will be ready to come out and play.

Today we learned what it means to be a global citizen. We saw pictures of people from other countries who were poor, rich, and different than us. It was cool to see where they live and what they look like. There are a lot of problems in the world that we want to help solve. Some of the problems we know about are not having clean water, not having a home, not having enough food or clothing. As a class we are going to pick a problem and work all year to make a difference.

We got our new mathbooks today and we learned how to use our student reference book.

We also interviewed our classmates and learned a lot of new things about them.
