In reading we read two poems by Langston Hughes about dreams and what you need to do to keep your dreams from being crushed. Mrs. McMorris let us start to read a chapter book about knights and castles. We were all calling each other Sir and Lady because thats what they would call us if we lived at that time. The Ladies were the lovely ones.

In math we learned a new way to subtract called partial differences but it was really hard because it made us use nagative numbers. Mrs. Gonzales said we don’t have to use it unless it helps us. We like to do trade first subtraction cause its easier.

In Social Studies we reviewed Native American people and Mrs. McMorris put us in groups by which tribe we were.

In Science we made vocabulary cards for our new topic called soil science. We did a KWEL chart too. E stands for Experience and Experiment.

In writing we finished our draft about an activity or a hobby we do after school.
